An Extremely Rare WWI Photograph Album : German U - Boat U-25 showing surface attacks on merchant Shipping . Album possibly belonged to Watch Officer Friedrich Pohl ( sole crew member who served on both the U-25 & U-33 ( one photograph shows the French Ship Antonie which is recorded as being sunk by U-33)
U-25 was commanded by Kapitanleutnant Otto Wunsche ( Blue Max / Pour le Merite ), he served on U-25 from the 9 th May 1914-15 September 1915 ( during this time he sunk 22 ships). Kapitanleutnant Otto Wunsche can be seen within 3 photos. This album can be dated as circa May-October 1915 .
Photographs include : biplane and crew on U- boat , U- boat in harbour , sinking ships , crew members ,out at sea making for a target ,various named merchant ships, photos depicting crews of ships that were to be sunk in rowing boats etc..
