Early 18th C Walnut Longcase : ' Tho Carter , Bp Anckland ' (Bishops Auckland ) a herring bone inlaid and cross banded Walnut early 18thC 5 pillared movement with internal countwheel, the case with caddy top , gilded wood finials , 12" brass dial , silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted centre, with ringed winding holes, gilded spandrels , seconds dial and date aperture , the hands finely pierced , with brass covered weights , long door and standing 86" high ( without finials)
